Accountant (Luxembourg)

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Luxembourg.



  • 3 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in accounting
  • Good knowledge of VAT
  • Well-organized, meticulous, great at working under pressure and meeting monthly deadlines, eager to work in an international team
  • Superb IT skills (Excel and accounting software: BOB, Apsal will be a plus)
  • Fluency in French & English is required, conversational Russian will be a plus


Scope of work:

  • Perform tasks set by your manager
  • Execute day-to-day AP operations: book incoming invoices, prepare/manage payments in accounting software, etc.
  • Manage budget files in accordance with payments made (logging payments in budget tables/budget reconciliations)
  • Assist with monthly accounts preparations and reporting
  • Prepare and submit information in response to requests and requirements of auditors, regulators, creditors, and other third parties
  • Draw up and pay the payroll, including standard deductions and taxes
  • Provide employees with salary slips and other reference documents relating to their compensation, as needed
  • Liaise with government agencies and authorities to address taxation and employment-related issues; communicate with ministries, ADEM, tax authorities, banks, etc., upon your manager’s request, when necessary
  • Prepare and provide information on recruitment, dismissal, change of employees’ duties or working conditions, vacations, seniority, staff count, etc., when necessary, and maintain the company’s employment database (e.g. agreements, amendments, resignations, etc.)
  • Organize and manage databases (finance and HR) as well as the flow of electronic documents and hard copies on a monthly basis
  • Update records about HR-related issues, liaise with employees to ensure that they undergo mandatory check-ups and comply with other requirements
  • Ensure timely and correct personnel data management
  • Create and update employee personnel files, take care of storage and archiving tasks
  • Perform your duties in accordance with pertinent instructions, procedures, and regulations, in compliance with internal procedures
  • Prepare necessary and required reports and presentations related to accounting, payment execution, or HR issues for the company’s top management
  • Interact with the Chief Legal Officer on legal and HR issues
  • Communicate and cooperate with the company’s other teams (e.g. sales, marketing, support, logistics) on work-related issues
