The summit is part of the CyArk500 Challenge, which is a global project for the 3D scanning and digital preservation of 500 world heritage sites within a period of 5 years.
CyArk has already completed 40 projects toward its goal of 500. These sites include Pompeii, Babylon, Mt. Rushmore, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Titanic, the Sydney Opera House and, most recently, the Tower of London.
The summit will bring together cultural heritage, technology, and philanthropy leaders from around the world to share experiences and best methods for capturing, disseminating and archiving information about heritage sites, particularly those at risk.
