What: EAFS 2025
Where: Convention Centre Dublin
When: May 26-30, 2025

British Artec Ambassador Central Scanning has announced plans to showcase the latest in digital crime scene analytic tools at this year’s EAFS conference.

Fifty years on from its foundation, the event continues to bring together over 1,200 practitioners, stakeholders, and partners from across the forensic field. Organized by the European Academy of Forensic Science, the event is set to be attended by every major institute on the continent, making it one of the leading events on the forensic calendar.

This year’s program will cover many of the industry’s hottest topics, including how to use advanced technologies to streamline the process of collecting and documenting evidence.

As it happens, Central Scanning will be showcasing a practical solution to this problem: Artec 3D scanning. The wireless, handheld Artec Leo & long-range Ray II have already demonstrated their ability to capture entire crime scenes for later evidence gathering and analysis.

Central Scanning’s talented team will be on hand to showcase both of these cutting-edge devices throughout the show. They’ll also be exhibiting Artec’s latest high-resolution, target-free handheld: Spider II. The blue-laser scanner captures small-to-medium objects (or smaller sections of much larger items) with incredible fidelity for in-depth investigation.
