    Classic chair

An elegant upholstered chair. A fairly complicated object to scan, considering the polished black wood together with the thin back and arms, it required a special approach. To make scanning easy, the chair was laid down on the floor, which was used as a background for easy tracking and registration. The many details of the original object have all been brought to life in this beautiful 3D model. And, as you can see, not merely the antique woodgrain has been captured, but also every nick and scratch and bump that this lovely chair experienced over its lifespan. Tiny details in even the most unlikely of places, such as the upholstery nails on the underside of the seat, are all exactly where they were found on the real chair. Ideal for a furniture maker or antique dealer or museum curator cataloging and preserving the exact looks and measurements of rare and irreplaceable historical objects.
