How Artec 3D is supporting Ukraine

Artec Studio 11 nominated for 2016 ECN IMPACT Award

In addition to the awards picked up by Artec 3D scanners, Artec Studio software has every chance to add yet another one to our collection.

The most recent version of our flagship 3D scanning software, Artec Studio 11, has been selected as a finalist of the 2016 IMPACT Awards, hosted by ECN (Electronic Component News) Magazine. Established in 1956, ECN is the leading authority on new OEM products, tools, technologies, trends and design intelligence for the global engineering community across a multitude of end-markets, including military/defense, medical, avionics/aerospace, industrial, automotive, wireless, computer, consumer and communications.

The 2016 ECN IMPACT Awards seek to recognize the most innovative and valuable contributions in the design and engineering industries. The winners are selected by an esteemed panel of experts, and each technology is judged based on the contribution to the industry. This year the scope of the awards has been expanded to incorporate new markets, namely rapid prototyping, medical, and educational initiatives, with Artec Studio 11 featured in the rapid prototyping category.

This version is distinct for the new Autopilot mode that allows users with no experience to have their data post-processed 100% automatically. All they need to do to launch automatic post-processing in Autopilot is answer a few simple questions about the characteristics of the object scanned – and Artec Studio will fuse the scans into a high quality 3D model ready for printing. Experienced users can do the post-processing manually, modifying the 3D mesh and texture the way they need for their application.

We are delighted to know that Artec Studio 11 has been recognized by the professional community of ECN experts and hope to celebrate receiving the award on October 13, the day on which the winners will be announced. The ceremony will be broadcast live on the magazine’s website and will be available for anyone to watch.
