How Artec 3D is supporting Ukraine

Artec 3D scanners at the Institute of Medical Illustrators Annual Conference and Awards in Belfast

| Stormont Hotel, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast, BT4 3LP (Belfast, UK)

This year will be the first time that the IMI conference has been held in Northern Ireland, and it will include exciting events with numerous speakers, workshop presenters, trade representatives, and more. As well, there will be two fully-equipped photo studios in the trade area, where you can check out some of the latest cameras, lenses, lights, and technologies. Also on the agenda are workshops including anatomy drawing and modelling, and a range of others on topics such as medical photography, video, ophthalmic photography, etc. Throughout the day there will be training classes on Adobe software, where you're welcome to either observe or sit down and take part.

Artec Gold Reseller Patrick Thorn & Co will be at the conference, demonstrating Artec scanners and providing a hands on workshop to interested visitors. Artec 3D scanners have long been a favorite among healthcare providers around the world, being well-known for their ease-of-use, high-resolution color scans, and submillimeter levels of accuracy, in fields ranging from orthopedics & prosthetics to implant dentistry, plastic surgery, and much more.

Patrick Thorn will be running 2 workshops at the event including:

Capturing 3D to complement facial reconstruction

3D scanning - aiding Medical Photography to do more

The newest Artec scanner at the conference will be the Artec Leo. With its comfortable design, ease of use, and state-of-the-art features, Leo has been making waves from east to west. A fully wireless scanner, Leo gives you the freedom to scan anywhere you need to go, and with the inbuilt touchscreen, you have full control of the 3D scanning process step-by-step. Leo is ready to capture whatever object awaits you, quickly and easily, delivering brilliant color 3D scans that are as beautiful as they are anatomically precise.

Patrick Thorn will also be showing the ultra-precise Artec Space Spider. A 3D scanner specifically designed for capturing small details and fine geometries, and a favorite among scanning experts near and far, Space Spider excels at 3D scanning objects both organic and otherwise. It has been used for everything from capturing small anatomical details to reverse engineering medical equipment and components, and many other applications where accuracy is measured in microns.

If you're looking for one of the most popular 3D scanners across multiple industries, be sure to check out the Artec Eva. Comfortable and easy to use, Eva has been used in the medical industry for years, capturing medium-sized objects such as human bodies, medical equipment, and more. With remarkable color 3D accuracy, Eva delivers scans quickly and with a minimum of user training needed.

And while you're at the booth, you'll want to see Artec’s latest scanning and post-processing software in action. Artec Studio 14 is loaded with smart features and tools, making your scan processing faster and easier than ever before. The software's advanced 3D modeling tools and intuitive interface give you the power to smoothly process and export your scans in a variety of formats, including to the most popular CAD applications.

At the event will be speakers from as far away as Australia, including Caroline Erolin from Dundee University (using 5 Artec scanners), and Mark Roughley from Liverpool Facelab (using 3 Artec scanners). Also speaking will be Orla Murphy from University of Cork in Ireland (using Artec Eva).
