Artec 3D partner to speak at AM Medical Days 2021

| Berlin, Estrel Congress Center (Berlin, Germany)

What: AM Medical Days 2021
Where: Berlin, Estrel Congress Center
When: Nov. 22-23, 2021

Just a week after Formnext, the additive manufacturing spirit heads to Berlin, Estrel Congress Center, for a hybrid conference devoted solely to 3D printing solutions for the healthcare industry: AM Medical Days 2021.

The show will bring together over 250 physical and 500 virtual participants: doctors, hospital executives, medical technology developers, health insurers, and AM solution providers such as printer manufacturers and material suppliers. The goal? To make new connections and discuss ways to improve patient outcomes using additive technologies.

The topics of the conference will feature five strategic applications of 3D printing in the medical sector: (1) surgical preparation and implementation, (2) bioprinting and implants, (3) orthotics and prosthetics (O&P), (4) maintenance of medical systems, and (5) applications of the future. Different aspects of each of these topics will be addressed during thematic keynotes, master classes, and workshops.

You’ll also have a chance to review some of the many use cases where Artec 3D scanners have been instrumental, specifically in the O&P area. If that sounds interesting, make sure to attend a presentation titled “5 practical examples of the bandwidth of 3D printing technologies used in medicine – learning experiences and potentials of an early starter.” The presentation will be delivered by an Artec 3D Gold-Certified reseller in Germany, Antonius Köster, CEO of Antonius Köster GmbH & Co. KG.

At 3.45-4.05 p.m. on the first day of the conference, Köster will share how doctors and specialists in the O&P area utilize Artec 3D’s professional 3D scanning solutions to create custom orthotic and prosthetic devices that are tailored to their patients’ individual needs.

During his talk, Köster will demonstrate the many options doctors can go with — all while showcasing Artec’s three handheld scanners: Artec Eva, Artec Leo, and Artec Space Spider, each of which can be applied in specific O&P cases, be it designing a custom shoe sole, wheelchair, or 3D-printed limb.
