What: 3DZ webinar feat. live demos of Artec Eva, Leo, Geomagic Design X and Control X
Where: Online
When: February 24, 11 am – 12 pm UTC +2

Engineers, industrial designers, QA specialists and others involved with manufacturing are welcome to join Artec 3D’s Certified Partner in Spain 3DZ S.p.A. for a free webinar dedicated to boosting productivity with cutting-edge 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and quality assurance solutions.

The webinar will feature live scanning with Artec Eva and Leo, followed by demonstrations of data processing in Artec Studio, inspecting 3D models in Geomagic Control X, and modifying them in Geomagic Design X. You’ll be able to not only watch essential 3D data capture, analysis, and scan-to-CAD operations performed on common industrial objects in real time, but also ask any questions you may have for the 3DZ team and a representative of Artec 3D who’ll be co-hosting the event.

Artec Eva and Leo are award-winning handheld 3D scanners used extensively across a number of manufacturing industries to capture medium-sized to large objects with a point accuracy of up to 0.1 mm. During scanning, the lightweight Eva streams data to the external laptop/computer it is connected to, while the tetherless Leo displays scans on its built-in touchscreen, making the 3D scanning experience all the more convenient for the user. Both scanners experienced a major upgrade in October 2020 when HD Mode was introduced to improve their resolution and ability to capture black, shiny, thin, and other hard-to-scan areas. The results speak for themselves:

With a resolution reaching 0.2 mm, all surfaces are reconstructed with the utmost fidelity to the original object. State-of-the-art noise suppression algorithms ensure no time is wasted cleaning up polygonal noise from small areas such as the holes shown above. All edges come out sharp and unobstructed.

A quality 3D model made with an Artec 3D scanner can easily be exported to CAD or reverse engineering or inspection software such as Geomagic Design X and Control X. Geomagic Design X is a go-to solution for converting 3D scan data into feature-based CAD models, and Control X is an unparalleled metrology-grade tool for acquiring precise measurements of industrial objects and performing deviation analysis. Artec offers a selection of 3D scanners + Geomagic bundles with hefty discounts. These can be purchased from our resellers, including 3DZ S.p.A. Make sure to register for the February 24 webinar to find out how to effectively cut down costs, accelerate the time to market, and enhance the quality of your products with Artec 3D scanners and Geomagic software!
