Artec 3D hosts Luxembourg’s industry leaders for AI in Manufacturing workshop

World-renowned 3D scanning specialist Artec 3D recently had the pleasure of hosting Luxembourg’s leading manufacturers to discuss how AI can transform industrial production.

Organized in collaboration with business accelerator Luxinnovation, the AI in Manufacturing workshop brought together more than 20 preeminent Luxembourgish manufacturing firms who are actively exploring new ways of using AI to revolutionize how products are made.

Luxinnovation’s Mario Grotz opened the event by introducing the AI Factory initiative – a national effort to accelerate AI adoption in the manufacturing sector. Art Yukhin, President & CEO of Artec 3D, then showed how AI is deeply integrated into both the company’s products and manufacturing processes, demonstrating real-life AI-powered, innovative use cases.

“It was a pleasure to invite fellow AI innovators from across Luxembourg to our cutting-edge production facility,” said Yukhin. “We have long harnessed the power of AI to propel 3D scanning forward. I’m excited to see how we can further utilize this technology and unlock its full potential working with partners in Luxembourg and beyond.”

At the event, presenting duties were shared by Artec 3D’s CIO, Alexander Osipov, who expanded on how AI is already changing manufacturing via practical case studies. Laurent Federspiel of fellow Luxembourgish firm CERATIZIT also showed how AI is enhancing quality inspection.

The event concluded with an open discussion around accelerating R&D and getting products to market even faster with AI, as well as potential collaboration opportunities. This was followed by informal talks and networking over drinks as esteemed guests enjoyed Artec 3D’s hospitality.

Overall, the event turned out to be an insightful and productive exchange that highlighted AI’s potential to enhance quality, control and innovation across Luxembourgish manufacturing.
