Artec, ScanSource to demo high-precision 3D scanners at SOLIDWORKS World 2016

| Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center, Dallas, Texas (Dallas, United States)

The developer of leading CAD & CAM solutions that are used by some 3 mln designers and engineers worldwide, Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp. will welcome its partners and customers at its annual tradeshow, SOLIDWORKS World, in Dallas, TX. The show will run in parallel with more than 200 breakout sessions on topics ranging from design automation and electrical design to simulation and product data management.

This year Artec will join the show as SOLIDWORKS’ Solution Partner – our status was upgraded in November 2015. We’ll be demoing our best-selling handheld 3D scanners together with our U.S. partners ScanSource. On our stand, you’ll be able to try out Artec Space Spider, the newest member of the Artec product family, which was originally developed to work in space. This scanner features upgraded electronics, including a smart cooling system, demonstrating unparalleled repeatability in data capture regardless of changes in ambient conditions. Like its predecessor Spider, Space Spider captures the smallest detail of the object’s surface with amazing accuracy and precision, which makes it an ideal tool for metrology, reverse engineering, quality control and other areas.

We’ll also be showcasing Artec Eva, a versatile 3D scanner that works best with large and medium-sized objects. It scans quickly, in high resolution and vibrant color. The quality of the scans it produces is so high that Artec Eva was used to scan Barack Obama for the first ever 3D portrait of an American president.

How to work with Artec 3D scanners is easy to learn, especially in combination with the latest version of our software, Artec Studio 10, which automates much of the scanning, editing and post-processing to provide a totally smooth, hassle-free experience and excellent results.
