The Artec Group is proud to take part in the upcoming Siggraph 2010 exhibition July 27^th through July 29^th in Los Angeles, California. This exhibition is focused on the exciting and unpredictable world of computer graphics and animation.

The Artec Group has emerged as a leader in the CG field, as a result of continuous collaboration with movie and animation studios all over the world. Artec scanners have been successfully used on movie sets from the US to the UK to Australia. Hundreds of actors and bits of scenery have been scanned quickly and easily to undergo transformation and make it back on the silver screen as alternate versions of themselves.

This year, at Siggraph, we will be demonstrating a new product — an installation of 4 scanners that capture real-time 3D video. Visitors will be able to stand in front of the installation, dance, wiggle and jump and see themselves, in real time, on a big screen. Moreover, this data will be captured and saved, so don’t forget to bring a flash drive, to take your 3D dance with you as a souvenir. As an added bonus, the best dance will be featured on our website (artec3d.com).

Artec will be exhibiting in partnership with one of our American distributors, Exact Metrology.
